Short Version
CoachCam does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you record, import, and annotate stays on your iPhone. There are no user accounts, no cloud, no analytics, and no third-party trackers. The only time CoachCam content leaves your phone is when you explicitly choose to share or save it.
That’s it. The rest of this document explains the details.
Who We Are
CoachCam is developed and published by Momentum Sports Training Facility Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “Momentum Sports”), a New York corporation located at 5077 Arthur Kill Road, Staten Island, NY. You can contact us at info@momentumsportsny.com.
Data We Collect
We do not collect any personal information. CoachCam has no user accounts, no login, no registration, and no telemetry. We have no servers that receive data from the app.
Data Stored On Your Device
When you use CoachCam, the following is stored locally on your iPhone:
- Video clips you record or import, saved in the app’s private storage.
- Telestration drawings, athlete names, and clip tags you create while using the app.
- App settings, such as your preferred frame rate, resolution, and haptics preference, saved in iOS’s standard preference store.
This information never leaves your device unless you choose to share or save it. When you uninstall CoachCam, all of this data is deleted by iOS as part of the normal app removal process.
iPhone Permissions We Request
CoachCam requires certain iPhone permissions to function. Granting these permissions gives CoachCam access to the hardware or content in question — it does not grant us access. We never see what you record.
- Camera. Required to record video. Without this permission, the app cannot record.
- Microphone. Required to capture audio alongside video, and to record voiceover narration over a playback session. You can deny this permission and still record silent video.
- Add to Photos. Required only when you choose to save a clip or annotated frame to your Photos library. CoachCam requests “add-only” access, which lets the app add new items to Photos but does not grant any ability to read your existing photos or videos.
CoachCam does not request general photo library read access. When you import a clip from your camera roll, CoachCam uses Apple’s standard photo picker (PHPicker), which runs outside the app and hands over only the file you select. The app never sees the rest of your library.
All permission prompts appear from iOS the first time you attempt the relevant action. You can review or revoke any of these permissions at any time in the iPhone Settings app under Privacy & Security.
Sharing Content
When you tap a Share button in CoachCam, iOS presents its standard system share sheet. At that point, you choose what to do with the content — AirDrop it to another device, attach it to a text message, email it, or hand it off to another app you have installed. CoachCam is not involved in what happens after you make that choice. The receiving app or service handles the content under its own privacy policy.
Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
CoachCam does not use any analytics services, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Meta Pixel, or any similar tool inside the app. We do not participate in Apple’s App Tracking Transparency program because we do not track users across apps or websites.
Third-Party Services
CoachCam does not integrate with any third-party services. The app contains no embedded SDKs from other companies. The only external services involved with CoachCam are Apple’s own platform services for App Store distribution, in-app haptics, and iOS system features like the share sheet and the Photos library.
Children’s Privacy
CoachCam is intended for coaches, athletes, and parents of athletes. While the app itself does not target children, we recognize that athletes of all ages may appear in videos recorded by their coaches. Because we do not collect any data, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect data about children. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws by not collecting personal information from any user of any age.
If you are a coach or parent and you record athletes under the age of 13, you are responsible for obtaining any consents required by law or by your organization before recording.
Your Rights
Because we do not collect personal information, there is no data held by Momentum Sports that you can request access to, correct, or delete. The content you create with CoachCam is stored on your own device under your control. To delete it, delete the clip in the app or uninstall CoachCam.
Residents of California, the European Union, and other jurisdictions with data protection laws retain all rights under those laws. Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to turn over, correct, or erase. If you have questions about your rights, contact us at info@momentumsportsny.com.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever add a feature that involves collecting or transmitting data — for example, optional cloud backup or athlete profile syncing — we will update this policy, update the required App Store privacy labels, and notify users through an in-app notice before the feature takes effect. We will never retroactively change how existing data is handled without clear notice.
